FAQ for International Buyers
Quick answers to the questions buyers ask before placing a first order with Super J International — minimum quantities, lead times, payment, certifications, freight, and documentation.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the SKU and the manufacturer. For most consolidated mixed-SKU container shipments we accept 1 carton per item, with a typical full-container minimum starting at 1×20ft. For private-label runs the MOQ is set per factory and ranges from 500 to 5,000 cartons depending on packaging complexity. Tell us your target market and order size in the inquiry form and we will quote the achievable MOQ per SKU.
What are typical lead times from Thailand?
For in-stock SKUs, dispatch from Bangkok takes 7–14 days from purchase order. For made-to-order or private-label runs, allow 30–60 days for production plus freight transit. Sea freight to Europe is typically 28–35 days, North America West Coast 18–24 days, Middle East 14–18 days, and Australia 14–21 days. Air freight is 3–7 days worldwide. We send a confirmed timeline with every Proforma Invoice.
Do you provide product samples before an order?
Yes. We provide samples for serious buyers. Sample cost and freight are typically charged at cost and credited against your first commercial order. For low-value items we sometimes ship samples free of charge for verified business buyers. Sample requests for highly perishable items like chilled or frozen seafood require a confirmed cold-chain delivery address.
What payment terms do you accept?
For first-time buyers our standard terms are 30% T/T deposit on order confirmation and 70% balance against scanned shipping documents. We also accept irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C at sight) for orders above USD 30,000. Repeat buyers can negotiate open-account or D/P terms based on order history. We do not currently accept credit cards or escrow services.
Which food-safety certifications do your factories hold?
We source only from manufacturers holding HACCP, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 as a baseline. Many of our partners additionally hold GMP, BRC, Halal (CICOT or JAKIM), Kosher, and Organic (USDA/EU/JAS) certifications. Tell us which certifications your market requires and we will route the order to a compliant factory.
Do you offer private label and custom packaging?
Yes. We provide full private-label service: artwork adaptation, label printing, language localisation (English, Thai, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese), regulatory compliance for the destination market, and bespoke pack sizes. We can also adjust formulations to match local taste profiles where the manufacturer permits. Send us your target market, packaging concept, and order size for a private-label quote.
How does container consolidation work?
You shortlist any combination of products and brands across our 750+ SKU catalog. We aggregate the order at our Bangkok warehouse, perform pre-shipment inspection, prepare consolidated documentation, and load a single sealed container. This lets you import a full assortment at factory-direct pricing without committing to a full container per supplier — the core value of the "King of Consolidation" model.
What Incoterms do you ship under?
We commonly quote FOB Bangkok / Laem Chabang. We also handle CIF, CFR, EXW, and DDP for buyers who prefer end-to-end logistics. For new buyers we recommend CIF — we manage main-carriage freight and marine insurance, and you handle import customs at the destination port.
Which countries do you currently export to?
Active export lanes to 73 countries across 6 continents — Europe (UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Nordics), the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar), Asia & Pacific (China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia), Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Mauritius), and the Americas (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile). New markets evaluated case by case.
How do export documents work?
Every shipment ships with a full document set: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin (Form A / Form D / Form E for FTAs where applicable), and a Phytosanitary or Health Certificate where the destination requires one. We also handle Halal Certificates, Free Sale Certificates, and Health Certificates from the Thai FDA on request.
Can you handle product registration in my country?
Product registration is the importer's responsibility because it requires local entity standing. We provide all manufacturer-side documentation needed to complete registration: ingredient lists, nutritional facts, manufacturing-process flowcharts, certificates of analysis, GMP certificates, and free-sale certificates. We have supported buyer registrations in EU, GCC, ASEAN, and FDA markets.
